  • da p.d. less for more scam
  • As of this past week the local fish wrapper has decided to charge an additional quarter of a dollar for it's sorry newspaper efforts. BEWARE THIS SCAM! Less is more seems to be this sordid attempt at journalism's latest money grabbing ploy. Offering only a smattering of local news via it's metro section , along with a paltry one page op / ed effort , the plain dealer offers it's potential customers not very much for their .75 cents. The local featured columnists who appear with regularity are not worthy of a read save Morris , Feagler , and Larkin. This rudderless ship is sinking fast . Without any real competent news gathering at a local level this joke in print has become just a series of bad rewrites of old news in printed form. For example. Olympic coverage without a reporter in Beijing . No reporters coverage of the 2008 election to speak of save from wire reports.... International news is surely not found in the plain dealer these days. Columnists the likes of Kevin O ' Brien and his girlfriends are fit for your litter box not a good read. Reruns of week old syndicated news from wire sources predominate this skinny sham of a newspaper....... A day old loaf of fluffy white bread with mold growing on it's edges seems to be the current plain dealer product offered. Stale and old news at a new higher price. I wonder how long it will take for this sorry waste of dead trees to be put out of it's misery?
